Meet the Authors

Essam Aljawf & Abdessalaam Al-Alestini

Abdessalaam is a new Muslim exploring the basics of Islam while studying at Zad Academy and working to improve his Arabic to better connect with the Qur’an. He shares what he’s learning in the hope it can benefit others who are just beginning too.

Essam is trying to become a better student of knowledge, gradually building the habit of turning to our faith’s sources for answers and insight. Through his writing and research, he hopes to make Islam easier to understand and more relatable — especially for those just starting their journey.
